Dylan and Itsy.
I met this young man on Highland Road near the gates of LSU. After traveling the country, Dylan stated he returned to his home city of Baton Rouge because he missed his family. Of all the places he had visited, Asheville, TN was his favorite. He had a kind spirit about him. Itsy was sweet and seemed well cared for. I was honored Dylan allowed me to photograph them.

He is the accordionist and vocalist for his New Orleans base band, Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers. This was taken in a bar off Bourbon Street. If you are asking which bar, well you’ve never been to Bourbon Street. I don’t remember.

As the riders of The Courir de Mardi Gras return to town after their circuitous journey this Capitan has abandoned his horse for a grander (?) entrance. Listen close and you can hear the Cajun band begin to play.
